Andrew Armani Deionte Rowe, a 29-year-old resident of Salt Lake City, has been sentenced to 57 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for robbing multiple 7-Eleven stores across the Salt Lake Valley in 2023. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Court Judge Jill N. Parish after Rowe pleaded guilty in September 2024 to four counts of interference with commerce by robbery.

Court documents and statements from Rowe’s hearings reveal that between September 12 and September 27, 2023, he robbed several 7-Eleven locations, threatening clerks at each site. On September 12, Rowe locked the doors of a Salt Lake City store and handed the clerk a note saying, “Do as I say, or you will lose your life.” Later that day, he committed another robbery in Millcreek, Utah, using a gun to demand cash. He repeated similar actions on September 14 and September 27 at different locations.

Rowe was arrested on October 11, 2023. Investigators found clothing matching what he wore during the robberies and seized a BB gun resembling a Glock used in the crimes.

Acting U.S Attorney Felice John Viti stated: “No individual should feel unsafe while at work,” emphasizing community safety as a priority for law enforcement partners. Special Agent Mehtab Syed from the FBI noted: “It’s fortunate Mr. Rowe didn’t physically hurt or kill anyone during his crime spree.”

The case involved collaboration between the Salt Lake City Police Department, Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake, and the FBI Salt Lake City Field Office. It was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Utah under Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative aimed at reducing gun violence and other violent crimes through community cooperation.
