Three finalists announced for Fourth District Court commissioner vacancy in Utah

The Utah State Courts announced on Apr. 24 the three finalists for the Fourth District Court commissioner position, which will replace Commissioner Marla R. Snow following her retirement. The nominees are Megan P. Blakelock of Blakelock Law residing in Orem, Michael T. Balser from the Office of Guardian ad Litem also residing in Orem, and Dustin A. Hardy of Choice Legal Services who resides in Pleasant Grove.

The announcement opens a public comment period that will run through Monday, May 4, after which judges from the Fourth District Court bench will select a final candidate. The selection must then be approved by the Utah Judicial Council before taking effect.

Members of the public are invited to submit written comments regarding any of the candidates by contacting Mark Urry, Trial Court Executive, at marku@utcourts.gov.

The Utah State Courts operate across eight judicial districts and maintain facilities throughout Utah according to their official website.
